Vice President of Engineering

Omnic.AI is seeking a visionary and results-driven Vice President of Engineering to lead our world-class software and machine learning teams. This executive will be responsible for defining and executing the technical strategy, scaling our core AI platform, and building a high-performance engineering culture that ensures the reliable, high-quality delivery of our next-generation coaching products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and Implement the Company's Technical Vision: Define and drive the long-term technical architecture and strategy for the Omnic.AI platform, including scalable AI/ML infrastructure, video processing pipelines, and data analytics systems. Ensure the technology stack supports rapid growth and innovative product development.
  • Engineering Leadership and Delivery: Own the entire software development lifecycle. Implement and optimize agile processes, quality assurance, and DevOps practices to ensure timely and predictable delivery of engineering projects, meeting product and business goals.
  • Budget and Resource Management: Create, manage, and optimize the engineering department's budget, resources, and external vendor relationships to maximize efficiency and return on investment in technology.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Serve as a key liaison between the Engineering department and the executive team, Product, Marketing, and Operations. Articulate the technical strategy, progress, risks, and resource needs clearly and effectively to all internal and external stakeholders.
  • Talent Acquisition and Development: Supervise and scale the hiring process for all engineering and data science roles. Mentor, coach, and develop existing engineering leaders and staff, fostering a culture of technical excellence, continuous learning, and accountability.

Required Qualifications:

  • Experience: 10+ years of progressive experience in software engineering, with at least 3+ years in a senior leadership role (VP, Head of Engineering, or CTO) at a technology-focused company, preferably one dealing with large-scale data, AI, or video processing.
  • Technical Expertise: Deep technical understanding and leadership experience in building and scaling complex, data-intensive platforms, including expertise in:
    • Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Deep Learning models.
    • Cloud infrastructure (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure) and scalable microservices architectures.
    • Video processing, computer vision, or real-time data ingestion is highly desirable.
  • Deep expertise with the core Python Data Science/ML ecosystem, including libraries like NumPy, Pandas, and SciPy.
  • Leadership: Proven ability to manage, mentor, and inspire geographically distributed, high-performing engineering and data science teams of significant size.
  • Business Acumen: Strong financial and strategic planning skills with a track record of managing large budgets and translating business objectives into technical strategies.
  • Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, capable of synthesizing complex technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
